Jewellery is Ben Albrecht’s heritage and his passion. From 2003 until 2012, he was a partner in the iconic Melbourne jewellers Kozminsky, a business that had been in the Albrecht family since his father Kurt acquired it in the 1960s.
Ben’s personal journey as a jeweller began in 1989 with his apprenticeship at the Cultured Pearl Export Company in Tokyo and continued through a six-year engagement as an auctioneer and valuer with Leonard Joel Auctioneers back in Melbourne.
As Managing Director of Kozminsky, Ben oversaw the successful expansion of the family business into fine art. Kozminsky’s gallery hosted many successful exhibitions by emerging and established artists including renowned photographer Angus O’Callaghan, who Ben discovered in 2009.
Branching out on his own with Ben Albrecht Jewellery, he brings all of this knowledge, history and expertise to bear in providing a personalised service to his clients. The goal is simple: to work with clients exclusively and privately in their own homes to craft bespoke pieces of the utmost quality and value.
